New leaves in the spring are a bright vibrant red colour, turning into green glossy leaves when mature.
Prefers a sunny spot and any well drained soil. Photinias are fairly quick growing and when mature can grow 60-80 cms a year. They can be kept in pots, but would need re-planting into a larger pot every few years. If planting out in the garden please remember to water well in the first two years until it is well established. If leaving in a pot, please remember they will also need regular feed as well as water.
