Bio-ethanol fuel comes in bottles and is easy to store.
Bio-ethanol is a man-made plant based alcohol (ethanol) produced by an industrial distillation process but treated so it is not fit for human consumption (denaturised). Being made from plants, it is a renewable resource and not a fossil fuel, and consequently is environmentally friendly. Burning bio-ethanol releases water and carbon dioxide.
There are no noxious smoke or gases released while burning, so products using this fuel do not require any special installation, flues or chimneys. They can therefore be purchased for immediate and instant use. Bio-ethanol is highly flammable, so any naked flame will ignite the fuel, therefore no need for any firelighters, balled newpapers or kindling. To extinguish, the fire must be deprived of air and it then goes out instantly.
All Gardeco fireplaces are supplied with a snuffer to extinguish the fuel.
Burning time and overall KW output is dependant on the fireplace or burner design.
