Widely used as the conifer for large hedges, It is a tall, conical tree with dark green foliage. Initial growth rate, 1.5-2ft (45-60cm) per year. Once established, rate increases to 3-4ft (1-1.2m) per year. Mature unpruned height up to 65ft (20m), spread 38ft (12m). Position - Full sun. Soil - Well drained but moist. Rate of growth - Fast. Hardiness - Fully hardy (no protection needed during Winter months). Our conifers are grown in 7cm wide pots, then potted on into a 2 litre pot. The size of the plant will vary according to time of year it is purchased but will always be well rooted and established, but generally will be about 60-90cms tall.
