Medium shrub of upright and arching thorny stems clothed in rounded purple leaves that have a narrow golden edge. Loose clusters of tiny yellow flowers. Flowers Apr - May. Height to 2m. Position - Full sun, semi shade. Soil - Well drained, any soil. Rate of growth - Average, fast. Foliage - Deciduous (looses leaves during Autumn/Winter). Hardiness - Fully hardy (no protection needed during winter months). Our shrubs are grown from cuttings in 7cm pots then transplanted into 3 litre pots to grow on. They are supplied as strong well grown plants, actual size will vary according to the time of year but will generally be 30-50cms tall.
