Aspidistra elatior, or Cast Iron Plant as they are commonly called, are an indoor plant ideal for the home or office, and very easy to keep.
Approximately 65-70cm tall in a 10 or 12cm plastic pot.
Given the name Cast Iron Plant as they will stand neglect.
Tolerant of air pollution.
Keep cool and frost free in winter. Tolerant of most positions except direct sun. One of the few plants that will thrive in a dark position with little light. Only repot every 5 years as they do not like being disturbed. Water sparingly as these plants do not like very wet compost.
