Christmas
Christmas has become one of the busiest times of the year at Staunton Harold Nurseries and Garden Centre. Over the last 20 years the Christmas area has grown considerably and we now have one of the largest and most spectacular Christmas displays in the Midlands. Angela Murray, the shop manager of over 20 years, is in charge of sourcing and displaying the decorations, in that time she has developed a keen eye for stylish decorations and those that are that little bit different. Many of our customers prefer traditional colours such as gold, silver and reds, but we also cater for those who like a more contemporary look with black or pastel colours.
A lot of time is spent by Angela and her team producing inspirational colour themed displays, which can give customers many ideas to decorate their own homes at Christmas.
CHRISTMAS DISPLAY OPENS ON SATURDAY 2nd OCTOBER 2010.
At Staunton Harold there is a massive santas grotto set in its own wonderland. There is a train ride that takes you past wonderful animated scenes before reaching the magical man himself in his grotto. Every child will come away with a present (charges apply) as well as a smile and an experience not to be forgotten.
SANTA ARRIVES THIS YEAR ON SATURDAY 13th NOVEMBER at 11am. See him arrive on a horse and carriage and enjoy many other games and features that day.
Fresh Christmas trees are available from the last week of November. They are available in the traditional Norway Spruce or the low needle drop Nordman varieties, from 3' to 10' tall. Larger sizes are available to order.
There is always a great range of house plants at Christmas too. Poinsettias, cyclamen and orchids are always popular as are planted arrangements. Fresh holly wreaths are also available from the last week of November. We also have a good range of gifts for your family and friends, such as bird tables, oak benches and mini greenhouses.
